Introduction to Anhui Normal University
Founded in 1928, Anhui Normal University (AHNU) is the earliest-established institution of higher education in Anhui Province. The University is located in Wuhu, a national-level open city in close proximity to Shanghai and Nanjing. Covering a land area of 2,017,400 square meters, the university is home to a faculty and staff of approximately 2,800 members, including over 1,000 professors and associate professors. The current total enrollment stands at 35,100 undergraduate students and 9,600 graduate students. AHNU is a key university jointly supported by the Anhui Provincial People’s Government and the Ministry of Education of China. The university has developped a comprehensive educational system featuring high-quality undergraduate and graduate programs, awarding bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees. It currently offers 89 undergraduate programs, 30 master’s degree programs and 12 doctoral degree programs.
AHNU is among the first universities in China authorized to enroll international students under the Chinese Government Scholarship Program. It is also designated as a National Base for Chinese Language Education, an International Exchange and Cooperation Base of Anhui Province, and an official test center for the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK). Equipped with advanced teaching facilities and a strong faculty, the university has built a professional teaching team dedicated to teaching Chinese as a foreign language. It has developed a successful educational model characterized by "small-class instruction, personalized guidance, and supplementary elective courses and extracurricular activities."
Since 1985, over 5,000 international students from over 60 countries and regions have been trained or graduated from AHNU. With a global and future-oriented vision, the university is committed to providing high-quality educational services to international students worldwide.

Admission Policy
I.Application Time and Process
1. Application Period: From October 31, 2025 to June 20, 2026 (for Fall Semester Intake); From October 31, 2025 to February 10, 2026 (for Spring Semester Intake).
2. Online Application: Applicants shall complete the online application via Anhui Normal University’s application system: http://ciezs.ahnu.edu.cn/login. Applicants for the Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC) must additionally submit an application through the Chinese Government Scholarship Information System at https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn. The institutional code of Anhui Normal University is 10370.
3. Review and Interview: The University will review all application documents, conduct online interviews, and notify applicants of the results via both the internal messaging system of the application platform and email.
4. Pre-admission Notice and Payment: A Pre-admission Notice will be issued through the application system. Upon receipt, admitted applicants are required to pay the application fees. An Admission Notice will be issued to applicants who finish the payment. Upon receipt of Admission Notice, admitted applicants are required to pay tuition and accommodation fees.
5. Visa Documents and Registration: Visa-related documents will be sent by email after payment confirmation. Admitted students must register on the designated date. Failure to register within two weeks without prior explanation will be deemed a forfeiture of admission.
II.Application Requirements
1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens, aged 18 or above, in good physical and mental health, and with no criminal record.

II.Scholarships
1. Anhui Normal University Scholarship for International Students
This scholarship is available to newly admitted self-funded degree-seeking international students. Selection is conducted annually in early June based on academic merit. The funding duration is four years for undergraduate students and three years for graduate students. The award standards (per person/academic year) are as follows: RMB 20,000 for undergraduate students;RMB 30,000 for master's students; RMB 50,000 for doctoral students. The scholarship may be renewed annually subject to satisfactory academic performance.
